Who this Privacy Notice applies to and its purpose
This Privacy Notice applies to you if you participate in the Project name consultation (the Project). It explains how your Personal Data is processed, in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (“DPA 2018”).
Who we are and what we do
We are Uniper UK Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”), a limited company registered in England and Wales under registration number 09563399, with our registered office at Compton House 2300 The Crescent, Birmingham Business Park, Birmingham, England, England, B37 7YE. We are registered as a Controller in the UK with the Information Commissioner’s Office (“ICO”), registration number [cav-settings company_ico].
Personal Data we collect
We have instructed Copper Consultancy (Copper) to act on our behalf and collect the details of consultation participants.
Copper will collect the following from you:
- Name
- Address (if you provide it)
- Email address (if you provide it)
- Phone number (if you provide it)
- Confirmation that you are over the age of 13 and your age group (if you wish to provide it)
- IP address (when form submitted)
- Your comments regarding the Project
Copper will analyse the information you give to them and provide us with an overview report containing no Personal Data.
Although you will give your information to Copper we are the Controller of that information and Cavendsh are the Processor. This means we have control of the information you provide to them and
Copper must only process that information under our strict instructions. They will not use it for their own purposes.
Retention periods and lawful bases
Copper shall not retain any Personal Data for any longer than is necessary in light of the purpose(s) for which those data are collected, held, and processed. Data will be archived and not re-used once the full project has been completed. Data may be anonymised and used for research purposes at any time up to the deletion period.
Our lawful basis for this processing is consent. You have the right to withdraw consent at any time. Please see the “Contact us” section below for details on how to contact us to exercise this right.
Sharing your data
Your Personal Data will not be shared with any other third parties unless it is necessary to do so in order to comply with the law (such as valid legal processes) or to complete the task in hand. For example, Copper may use service providers, when processing the information they collect. However, they are required to enter into appropriate data processing agreements with any such service providers to ensure that they only process your Personal Data in accordance with our strict instructions. The service providers are not permitted to use your Personal Data for their own purposes.
International transfers
Your Personal Data will not be transferred nor processed outside the UK and EEA.
Your rights
You have rights under the data protection legislation, and, subject to certain legal exemptions, we must comply when you inform us that you wish to exercise these rights. In particular, you have the following rights:
- The right to access your Personal Data;
- The right to rectify your Personal Data, if it is incorrect;
- The right to have your Personal Data erased;
- The right to restrict the processing of your Personal Data;
- The right to have your Personal Data transferred to another Controller;
- The right to object to the processing of your Personal Data;
- The right not to be subject to any decisions based solely on automated means which produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. We can confirm that we do not use automated decision making; and
- The right to withdraw consent, where the processing is based on consent.
You will not have to pay a fee to exercise any of the above rights. However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request for access is clearly unfounded or excessive.
